Software that reads your own data back to you

Renewora LLC is an independent app studio in San Francisco. We build two mobile apps from the same idea: the data a person already carries — a birth chart, a walk in the hills — is worth turning into something they will actually want to read.

The studio

Small enough to care what each screen says.

Renewora LLC was founded to publish software we wanted to exist and could not find. There is no client work, no advertising business, and nothing on the roadmap that we are not using ourselves.

That size shows up in the products. Every report Renewora writes and every card TrailStory exports has been read, argued over and rewritten by the people who built it. When something is wrong, there is no queue between you and the person who can fix it.

Both apps are funded by the people who use them. That keeps one incentive in place: the app has to stay worth paying for.

What we publish

Two apps, one idea, different worlds.

One takes the moment you were born. The other takes the last three hours on a trail. Both hand back a piece of writing that belongs to one person only.

Astrology and numerology

Renewora

A birth date, a birth place and a full name become a set of readable reports: a natal portrait, compatibility with the people who matter, a forecast for the month ahead, and the cities on the map where your planetary lines fall well.

The chart is computed with Swiss Ephemeris and historical time zones, so the positions match what an astrologer would work from. Only the writing is generated, and it is generated for that one chart.

Hiking and outdoors

TrailStory

TrailStory records the route, the climb and the steps while the phone has no signal, then turns the walk into something worth posting: a trail card, a collage, or a reel with captions placed where each photo was taken along the route.

A single shared link puts a group on the same map for the length of a hike. Guests join without an account, and when the signal drops everyone keeps their last known position until it returns.

How we build

Three rules we have not broken yet.

The numbers are computed, not invented

Ephemeris positions and GPS tracks are deterministic and verifiable. A language model does the writing on top of them. It never decides the math, and it never fills a gap in the data with something plausible.

Personal data stays small

Birth details and location traces are as personal as data gets. We ask for what an app needs to work, say plainly in each privacy policy what is kept, and sell none of it to anyone.

Nothing ships that reads badly

A report that is technically correct and dull to read has failed. Text is treated as the product, not as filler around a calculation.

Under the surface

What the apps are actually built on.

Nothing here is unusual, and that is the point. Both products stand on components that can be checked by anyone who cares to.

Swiss Ephemeris

The reference planetary calculation used across professional astrology software, including historical time zone handling.

On device first

Hikes are recorded, and maps are read, with no connection. Syncing happens when you are back in range, not as a condition of use.

Store grade billing

Subscriptions run through the App Store and Google Play. We never see or store a card number.

Published privacy terms

Each app carries its own privacy policy and terms of service, written for what that app actually collects.

Questions

The things people ask first.

A small independent team in San Francisco. The company is registered as a limited liability company in the State of California, and both apps are designed and built in house rather than outsourced.

Both are in active development and will be released on the App Store and Google Play. Write to us and we will tell you when the app you care about goes live, and nothing else.

Renewora needs your birth date, time and place, and your name, because the chart and the numbers cannot be computed without them. TrailStory records location while a hike is running. Each app publishes a privacy policy describing exactly what is stored and for how long. Neither app sells personal data or shares it for advertising.

No. The studio publishes its own products only. Partnership, press and licensing enquiries are welcome and go to the address below.

Email the support address for the app in question. Messages are read by the people who build the app, and we answer within two business days.

Contact

Write to us. A person answers.

There is no contact form, no ticket number and no autoresponder in the middle. Pick the address that fits and we will reply within two business days.
